WCU Player of the Game (Davidson)

Purple & Gold's Catamount Player of the Game for the victory over the Davidson Wildcats is senior running back Detrez Newsome. 

                                                                       

Newsome broke his own single-game rushing record as Western Carolina also shattered a school benchmark for total offense in a game, amassing 778 total yards. Newsome had 15 carries, for 288 yards and 3 touchdowns, he averaged 19.2 yards per carry.
