Only three games played on Tuesday, and the SoCon picked up two wins.
Wofford at Georgia Tech
Charles Mitchell and Adam Smith led the Yellow Jackets to a 77-61 victory over Wofford on Tuesday night. The Yellow Jackets finished the first half on a 12-4 run, however, with Smith scoring seven points on the way to a 32-30 halftime lead. Justin Gordon scored 14 points on 7-of-14 shooting to lead Wofford.
Piedmont Inter. University at Furman
The Paladin's Andrew Brown scored a career high with 21 points in Furman's 99-38 rout of Piedmont International on Tuesday night. Kris Acox and Stephen Croone added 15 points apiece. The Paladins out-rebounded the Bruins 56-25, out-shot them 54 percent to 25 percent, and outscored them 16-9 in points off turnovers.
Samford at Jacksonville State
Samford's Darius Jones-Gibson scored 21 points to lead the Bulldogs past Jacksonville State 77-71 on Tuesday night. Jones-Gibson was 5 of 9 from the field and made 10 of 11 free throws. Jamal Shabazz scored 13 points and Alex Peters up 10 for Samford. Malcolm Drumwright hit 21 points to lead Jacksonville State.
