Monday's SoCon Basketball results

Only one game scheduled on the Monday after Christmas.  The Spartans traveled  to Chapel Hill, guess how that turned out.


UNCG at UNC Chapel Hill
The Tar Heel's Brice Johnson had 16 points to lead the No. 7  Heels past UNCG 96-63 on Monday night.  The Tar Heels had a double-digit lead in the first half, leading by 19 at the break. Francis Alonso scored 17 points to lead UNCG. The Spartans shot 52% after halftime and 44% for the game. . Demetrius Troy scored 14, all in the first half. The Spartans were within 11 as late as the 9:13 mark.
