85 Days 'till Kickoff - #85 Steffon Hill

It's now 85 days until kickoff of Catamount football against the Mars Hill University Lions in E.J. Whitmire Stadium on September 5th in Cullowhee.

To help pass those long summer days until football season officially starts, and to hopefully get the Catamount faithful more excited about the upcoming season, we'll continue the 100 day football countdown each day until kickoff day arrives.

2013 (Freshman): Played in 11 of the team's 12 games on the year with one start at wide receiver ... Also saw time as a kick returner, recording five kickoff returns for 80 yards including a long of 22 in his collegiate debut at Middle Tennessee State ... Made his first collegiate start against Elon on Homecoming ... Caught two passes for 24 yards on the year, both coming against the Phoenix ... Finished the season with 104 all-purpose yards.

Prior to Western Carolina: Played both wide receiver and defensive back for head coach - and former Catamount - Brett Chappell ... Was a two-time All-Western North Carolina Athletic Conference selection ... Caught 55 passes for 960 yards and six touchdowns to go along with 274 rushing yards with a TD on the ground ... Defensively, credited with 33.5 tackles and an INT in his final season as a prep ... Tabbed as the WNC Athletic Conference's Special Teams Player of the Year ... As a junior, made 43 receptions for 814 yards and eight touchdowns while also rushing for 405 yards and four TDs ... On defense, had a pair of interceptions ... One of just 100 players to attend the invitation-only Shrine Bowl combine in the summer of 2012.
