Western's James Sinclair scored 22 points to lead the balanced attack Western Carolina used Saturday to beat The Citadel 78-70. Western Carolina opened the second half with a 14-2 run. Attendance: 896
- Wofford at Samford -
Wofford's Karl Cochran scored 15 points as the Terriers held on to beat Samford 68-65 in the Southern Conference opener for Wofford on Saturday. Attendance: 837
- Mercer at UNCG -
Mercer's Ike Nwamu scored 15 points as the Bears beat UNCG 76-55 on Saturday. Attendance: 1,943
- Furman at Chattanooga -
Chattanooga's Casey Jones scored 20 points, to lead Chattanooga over Furman 72-60 on Saturday. Attendance: 2,738
