As of today, the SoCon has played 6 games against Big South teams and currently stand at 2-4 against the conference most have felt were inferior competition.  In week one, Coastal knocked off the Citadel, while Furman picked up a win against Gardner-Webb.  In week 3, Furman stumbled at Presbyterian, then in week 4 the Big South stretched their margin of wins to four, as the Citadel dropped it second contest against a Big South opponent in a loss to Charleston Southern, while Wofford fell to Gardner-Webb. This week, the SoCon could make up some ground with two games scheduled against the Big South, Western Carolina plays at Presbyterian and Coastal Carolina travels to Furman.

The day kicks off with two teams that have struggled in the first part of the season as The Citadel travels to Wofford.  Thirty minutes later, the surging Catamounts kick off at Presbyterian where their nine game win streak will be on the line.  Mercer makes their second conference road trip of the season as they visit Samford at 3 pm.
