Catamount Softball's first tournament of the season is at College of Charleston on February 14. Until then, lets meet the team.

2013 (Sophomore): Broke the Western Carolina single-season strikeout record ending 2013 with 223, which also led the Southern Conference ... Made 43 appearances and started 28 ... Led the team with a 3.53 ERA tossing 208 innings ... Also had two shutouts and two saves ... Her 13 wins were a season best and she became just the second Catamount pitcher to record back-to-back double figure wins, which also ties her for third place in the Catamount record books for wins in a season with former Catamount Mendy McKenzie ... Garrett has 370 strikeouts in her career which is good for second in the Catamount record books and needs 13 strikeouts to break the school record for career strikeouts which stands at 382.

2012 (Freshman): Became the first freshman Catamount pitcher to go over 100 strikeouts in a season since 2006 ... Ended the season with 147 strikeouts, ranking her third in the Catamount record books for strikeouts in a season ... Here 12 wins in 2012 not only lead the team it ranked her fourth in the WCU record books for single-season wins and is the most wins by a Catamount pitcher since 2012 ... Was named SoCon Pitcher of the Week on April 23 ... Made 46 appearances and started 21 games ... Tossed nine complete games and had two shutouts ... Led the team throwing 173.2 innings ... Had three saves. Notes: Became just the second Catamount freshman pitcher to go over 100 strikeouts in a season, since Western Carolina softball began in 2006, joining Mendy McKenzie how had 210 in 2006.

Prior to Western Carolina: In her senior year, tossed 161 innings and had a 0.61 ERA with 319 strikeouts .... Was named 3A Pitcher and Player of the Year, All-Conference, All-District, All-State and MVP as a senior while helping lead her team to a 26-5 record and a conference championship ... Named All-Conference, All-District, All-State and her junior and sophomore years ... Was named Pitcher of the Year as a sophomore and Player of the Year as a freshman.

Personal: Ashley Jordan Garrett ... Goes by Jordan ... Daughter of Randy and Sandy Garrett ... Has one brother, Caleb.
