Soccer - #32 Katie Weigel

Western Carolina women's soccer kicked off the 2013 campaign on Aug 7th with their first preseason practice of 2013.

The Catamounts return 20 players from the 2012 squad, including five seniors and 10 juniors. The Cats also welcome 10 newcomers to the squad, nine freshmen and a sophomore transfer.

2012 (Junior): Played in 16 matches and started six ... Scored the first goal of her career, a game winner, in the 1-0 win over Tennessee Tech ... Scored two points ... Took two shots, both on goal.

2011 (Sophomore): Played in 13 matches and started five ... Took two shots.

2010 (Freshman): Played and started in 18 matches ... Had nine shots and three shots on goal ... Also had one assist.

High School: All-Conference all four years at Covenant Day School ... Also named All-Region her junior and senior year.

Personal: Katherine Elizabeth Weigel ... Daughter of Dennis and Jackie Weigel ... Has two sisters, Megan and MacKenzie.
