45 Days 'till kickoff - #45 David Giron

It's now 45 days until kickoff of Catamount football at Floyd Stadium, home of the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee State on August 29th in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

To help pass those long summer days until football season starts, and hopefully get the Catamount faithful more excited about the upcoming season, we'll continue with the 100 day football countdown to kickoff.

2012 (Sophomore): Saw action in six games on the season both on offense as special teams ... Named to the 2012 Southern Conference Fall Academic All-Conference team ... Converted to running back during the spring drills ... Rushed a team-high 23 times for 107 yards including a 15-yard TD rush in WCU's annual Spring Game ... Named to the 2012-13 Southern Conference Honor Roll.

2011 (Freshman): Joined the WCU football team as a walk-on, participating on the scout team from fall practice through the year ... Named the team's offensive scout player of the week following the Elon game.
