Williams selected SoCon Defensive Player of the Week

Defensive Player of the Week: Rock Williams,
Western Carolina, Sr., LB, Howell, Mich

Senior linebacker Rock Williams recorded a career-high 24 tackles in Western Carolina's loss (45-31) at The Citadel. Williams' 24 tackles tied for the 10th-highest single-game total in league history and were the most since 2006.

Williams was credited with 17 solo tackles and seven assists. He recorded a forced fumble and fumble recovery on the same play in the third quarter that set up a go-ahead score for the Catamounts.
