Cullowhee, NC – The Winthrop Eagles baseball team will travel to Cullowhee, NC for a midweek contest against the Catamounts at Hennon Stadium on Tuesday afternoon.  The Cats leads the series over-all series with Winthrop 12-2; and are 6-0 when playing in Cullowhee. The Cats defeated the Eagles 13-3 in Rock Hill on Feb. 21, in this years home and home series.

In a down year, the Eagles are 15-33 overall this season. The Eagles are led by Justin Hopper with a .270 batting average, & TJ Olesczuk who has hit a team-high three home runs.  Eagle pitching boasts 4 pitchers with three wins:  Tyler Klitsch, Matt Pierpont, Eric Ruth & Austin Stuart.  Klitsch has a team-low 3.23 ERA in 75.1 innings pitched.
