Baseball: Cats take two from Greensboro

Cullowhee, NC - The Catamounts pounded Greensboro 16-2 in opener, and then slipped by 6-5 in 11 innings in the night cap of a double header played in Hennon Stadium on Saturday. The Cats slammed a season-high 19 hits in game one, and then followed up with 15 hits in game two. Dykota Spiess belted a lead-off, walk-off homer in the bottom of the 11th inning to cap the come-from-behind victory for the Catamounts in the second game. Spiess had a total of three home runs for the day, belting out two in game one. Gsme three is scheduled for 1:00 pm on Sunday afternoon.
