Western Carolina Destroys Furman, 65-41 - Daily Catamount

If Western Carolina can start winning consistently, it would help change their direction. On January 27th on their home court the Catamounts punished the Paladins in SoCon action, 65-41. The game was over by halftime, as Western Carolina held a definitive 34-16 lead then never let Furman back in it.

The Catamounts got this win as the underdog. Furman was ranked much higher in the RPI than Western Carolina, #110 to #229. The Catamounts are a very tough team playing at home, but the Paladins have been playing well lately, winning 4 of their last 5. Last season, Western Carolina beat Furman 64-57. Over the last four years, we've got a record of 5-2 with a record of 3-0 at Ramsey Center.
