Prior to Western Carolina: Joined the WCU football team as a preferred walk-on … Three-year varsity letter winner … Recorded 188 career tackles including 83 solo stops with a career-best 112 tackles and 40 solo stops as a senior … Was named All-State in his final season … Recorded three career sacks and three career interceptions, two as a sophomore … Also played baseball as a prep.
