This week's Purple & Gold football picks (11-14-15)

It's week #11 in the SoCon, and it's time to make this week's SoCon football picks.

This week, we again have almost full slate of conference games on the schedule, with only Western playing an out of conference game and VMI om their bye week.

So let's get to picking winners...

Mercer (4-5, 1-4 Southern) at Furman (4-5, 2-3 Southern)  1:30 pm  ESPN3
The surprising Bears visit Greenville, SC for this first time, determined to show that last week's win over the #1 Mocs was not a fluke. I think the Paladins will defend the home front, and pull out a 21-17 win over Mercer.

Samford (4-5, 1-4 Southern) at Wofford (4-5, 2-3 Southern)  1:30 pm  ESPN3
Coming off three straight conference losses, the Bulldog will again be disappointed in the outcome of the game, as the Terriers look to even their win/loss record.  Terriers win, 35-38.

The Citadel (7-2, 6-0 Southern) at Chattanooga (7-2, 5-1 Southern)  2:00 pm  SCDN
It will no longer be a game between the two conference unbeatens. but it is certainly the game between the top two teams in the SoCon. The Bulldogs travel to Chattanooga with their perfect conference record, hoping to repeat Chattanooga's feat of last season.  They survive another day, winning 28-21 over the Mocs.

Western Carolina (6-3, 1-3 Away) at Texas A&M (6-3, 4-2 Home) 7:00 pm ESPNU
The Cats travel to College Station to meet the Texas A&M Aggies, hoping to keep it respectable, The Catamount offense does it's part.  Final score, Aggies 42-21.

Bonus
East Tennessee State (1-8, 0-4 Away) at Gardner-Webb (3-6, 2-2 Home) 1:30 pm   BSN
The Bucs travel to Gardner Webb, hoping to get that second win of the season, however the Runnin' Bulldogs are too much for the out-manned Bucs, winning 35-0.
