It's week #8 in the SoCon, and it's time to make this week's SoCon football picks.
This week, we have a full slate of conference games on the schedule. This weekend should help provide a little separation in the middle log-jam.
So let's get to picking winners.....
Chattanooga (5-1, 3-0 Southern) at Wofford (3-4, 1-2 Southern) 1:30 pm ET
The Mocs travel to Spartanburg riding a five game winning streak. UTC spoils the Terriers Homecoming with a 28-14 victory.
The Citadel (4-2, 3-0 Southern) at Furman (3-3, 1-1 Southern) 1:30 pm ET
The Bulldogs remain on the road, this time visiting Furman. The Paladins aren't able to defend the home turff, as the Citadel picks up another road win, 28-14.
VMI (1-6, 0-3 Southern) at Mercer (3-3, 0-2 Southern) 3:00 pm ET
This one is a tough call, VMI has shown signs of putting it together, while the Bears have been close in most of their games. I think the home field gives the edge to the Bears, 28-24
Samford (3-3, 1-2 Southern) at Western Carolina (4-2, 2-1 Southern) 3:30 pm ET
It's Homecoming in Cullowhee, a packed house is expected, and they won't be disappointed in the outcome of the game. Cats win 28-21.
