Catamount Basketball - #41 Charlendez Brooks

The Catamount Basketball season tips off on November 13th in Cincinnati as the Catamounts open the season against the Bearcats at 7:00 pm on ESPN3. To start getting folks in the mood for basketball in the middle of football season, lets take a look at this season's team.

We'll start with the freshmen and move up to the seniors.

2014-15 (R-Freshman): Appeared in 18 games for the Catamounts … Made collegiate debut at Mississippi State (11/14) in the first game of the season … Had an assist against the Bulldogs … Played a season-high 24 minutes at Oakland (11/24) while scoring two points, dishing out three assists and grabbing a pair of rebounds … Played solid minutes early in the season before he lost time due to an illness … Had four-straight games early in the season where he grabbed two rebounds a game … Scored a season-high four points against Georgia State (11/25) and Furman (02/26) … Blocked seven shots throughout the season.

2013-14 (Redshirt): Took redshirt season.

Prior to Western Carolina: Played for head coach Layne Fowler at Byrnes High School ... As a junior averaged 7.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game ... Selected to All-Region II 4-A basketball team ... Helped Byrnes to playoff win over defending state champion, Gaffney, in overtime ... Listed as the third-best recruit out of South Carolina according to 247sports.com ... Held a three-star rating by the same site ... Played AAU for the SC Raptors Elite.
