The Catamounts continued their dominance of the Spartans, picking up a 78-73 victory at the Greensboro Coliseum on Saturday afternoon.

Western has now won 15 out of the last 16 meetings between the two teams, and has six straight victories in the series. UNCG last picked up a win over  the Cats in 2012 with an 89-86 overtime win at the Greensboro Coliseum.

In Saturday's game, four Cats scored in double figures, with James Sinclair scoring a game high of 23 points. Torrion Brummitt had 14 points followed by Mike Brown with 12 points and Rhett Harrelson chipped in 12.  Mike Brown pulled down a career-high 13 boards en route to his first career double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds. For the Spartans, Tevon Saddler scored 18 points, Nicholas Paulos put up 13 points and Kayel Locke added 12.

Saturday's win gave the Cats just their second road win in conference play, but upped their overall conference record to 6-5 on the season.  Of the next seven conference games, five of the games will be in the friendly confines of the Ramsey Center.

The Cats return to action Thursday night as the Samford Bulldogs visit Cullowhee.
