Comparing Mitchell and Huesman

In the preseason, Chattanooga's quarterback Jacob Huesman was selected as the preseason Offensive Player of the Year. Much to his credit, he's had a good season for the Mocs.  He's certainly the leading candidate for the end of year honors, but I'd like to see how our quarterback, Troy Mitchell's season ending stats, stack up to those of Jacob Huesman's.

Comparison of stats for Troy Mitchell and Jacob Huesman

Passing -
Troy Mitchell - 231 cmp 352 att 9 int for 2541 yards - 20 TDs - 211.8 yards per game
Jacob Huesman - 183 cmp 269 att 7 int for 2144 yards - 21 TDs - 179.6 yards per game

Rushing -
Troy Mitchell - 127 attempts - 670 yards gained - 4.4 avg per rush - 46.2 yards per game
Jacob Huesman - 153 attempts  - 863 yards gained - 5.0 avg per rush - 63.6 yards per game

Total offense -
Troy Mitchell - 479 plays - 555 yards rushing - 2541 passing - 3096 total yards - 358 yards avg. per game
Jacob Huesman - 421 plays - 763 yards rushing - 2155 passing - 2918 total yards - 243.2 yards avg. per game

Scoring -
Troy Mitchell - 6 TDs  - 36 points
Jacob Huesman - 10 TDs -  60 points

Yes the Mocs have won the conference, so that's in Huesman's favor, but look at the turn around the Catamounts have completed his season, certainly the turnaround and a second place finish in the conference accounts for something.

It looks like a toss up to me...... what are your thoughts?  Will it be Huesman or Mitchell?
