Women's T&F Team Captures SoCon Championship



The Western Carolina Women's Track & Tield team won its seventh women's Southern Conference Indoor Championship Sunday in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Women’s Individual Awards
Most Outstanding Field Performers - Alisha Bradshaw, Western Carolina
Freshman of the Year - Tayla Carter, Western Carolina

Women’s All-Freshman Team
Pole Vault - Devyn Ressler-Western Carolina
Triple Jump - Achsah Brice-Western Carolina
Weight Throw - Jasmin Brown-Western Carolina
60m Dash - Tayla Carter-Western Carolina
400m Dash - Kendra Douglas-Western Carolina
Corina Archi-McMillan-Western Carolina

The championship concluded with the women’s and men’s 4x400m relays. Western Carolina took first place in both. The women’s team, consisting of Genevieve Emrick, Corina Archie-McMillan, Jocelyn Keen and Tayla Carter, finished with a time of 3:47.95 for the Catamounts’ seventh-straight 4x4 crown. 

The men’s team, consisting of Aaron Tribble, Aaron Harris, Earl Rahming, and Brandon Hairston, set a new facility record with a time of 3:17.95
