Catamounts win series over ASU

Cullowhee, N.C. - The Catamounts closed out the regular season with a series win on Senior Day over conference leading Appalachian State on Saturday afternoon at Childress Field.

Dykota Spiess' three-run home run in the seventh inning sealed the 9-7 victory for the Cats, and coupled with Wofford's win over Georgia Southern ensured a number 5 seed for the Catamounts in next week's Southern Conference Baseball Tournament.

Prior to the start of the game, seniors Darron Dotson, Andrew Blackwell, Vance Chavis, & Ross Heffley were honored in pregame ceremony.
