Harouna Mutombo
Asheville, NC - The Catamounts placed six players in double figures as they roared past Wofford, with a 82-59 win at the 2012 SoCon Men's Basketball Tournament in Asheville, NC. The Cats shot 56-percent from the floor, as they avenged being eliminated the last two tournaments by the Terriers.

Harouna Mutombo led the way with 17 points and eight rebounds, while Tawaski King added a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, all total, six (6) Catamounts scored in double figures against Wofford.

Western Carolina was that good and I don’t know if much more needs to be said,” stated head coach Mike Young in his post game interview. “They played a complete game and did a lot of things better than we did today. They advance and we do not for the first time in a long time. It was not meant to be today.”

The Cats will now face the top seed in the North Division, Greensboro. The Spartans eliminated Appy State, in the first game of the day. WCU and UNCG split the regular season games, each winning at home. Game time is 6 pm in the U.S. Cellular Center.
