Western Carolina starts its quest for a 21st Southern Conference championship this Friday as the first pitch flies in the 2011 season at the newly renovated Childress Field / Hennon Stadium. The Catamounts host Morehead State in a three-game nonconference series to open the fourth year under head coach Bobby Moranda and staff. First pitch on Friday is set for 4:00 pm, while Saturday's match-up is at 2:00 pm and the conclusion of the three-game set will be played on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Live GameTracker coverage of this weekend's series will be available online at www.CatamountSports.com. On Saturday night, WCU will hold its "Celebration of Catamount Baseball" at the on-campus Grand Room in the Hinds University Center.
